I read all kinds of health magazines, nutrition websites and even have subscriptions to various health and nutrition newsletters. Through all this information that I read on a daily basis, I came across something that I wanted to share – another reason to take your omega 3s. Introduction

Trade schools and technical colleges are exploding everywhere. America’s metropolitan cities are overcrowded. Finding one’s way in the job market is like navigating the jungle without a map. To send a student to a traditional university for four years of undergraduate studies can cost close to one million dollars depending on what institution. Armed with this one million dollar degree one must now join the job market with many other people with less expensive degrees and the same qualifications. Is this fair? What about the economy if any, contributed to the explosion of people attending trade and technical colleges? Parents are faced with tough decisions, many which include does it pay to send my child away for education.

Research Summary

I am taking an advance composition course and we were assigned, of course, a research paper. I just wanted to share with you my summary. Any suggestions or feedback will be appreciated.

Every few minutes on the television there is an ad for a technical college. As we ride the subway we are bombarded with printed ads about these technical schools. What about the economy, if any, contributed to the explosion of people attending trade or technical colleges? What are some of the pros and cons of attending a trade or technical college vs. a traditional university? Exploring this topic will hopefully give an outlook to the future of these colleges and ultimately the future of traditional universities. Traditional universities are very expensive and it only seems to be getting worse. People needed a better way. It will be interesting to see where the majority of these schools are located. My belief is that they are thriving in major cities. Why? I attended two different schools before attending DeVry. Onondaga Community College in Syracuse and St. John's University in Queens. Both schools were very mundane and it felt like it would take forever to finish. Attending a school like DeVry eliminated the campus atmosphere and focused on school. Is this an incentive to attending a trade school?

Wake Up!

On July 9, 1922 a gentleman by the name of Marcus Garvey was interested in the activities of the Ku Klux Klan and decided to meet with the Grand Master. They discussed many topics including the Negro question. To dispel some myths I found a quote from the interview. In answering the Negro question in America the Grand Master said "We are not organized to be unfair to the Negro; we want to see the Negro develop as the white man has developed. To be fair I advise every Negro and those who aspire to leadership, to form an organization similar to that of the Ku Klux Klan so that Negros may be able to look out for their own interests and not continue to be begging white people to do for them what they ought to do for themselves."

If we took this to heart as a people many of our issues wouldn't exist. For example the lack of black owned stores in our neighborhoods. Market America allows those of us who have a vision to act on it. We can eliminate the dependency that has continued for generations.
